Q: How do you know that I referred the customer to the Plumtree Marketing Academy?
A: Our site is hosted on the Kartra platform, which includes affiliate program management. You will be given a unique link to use when sending people to our site. If your referral makes an immediate purchase during that visit, the use of that unique link will cause Kartra to associate the customer with your affiliate account. Otherwise, Kartra will create a “tracking cookie” that will last for 30 days. If your referral returns to our site within those 30 days, Kartra will recognize that the person is associated with your affiliate account; if a purchase is made during that time, you will get credit for it.
Please note: If your referral has disabled cookies in their browser’s settings and/or if they cleared their cookie history in their browser before a purchase is made, we cannot guarantee that the system will credit your affiliate account with the sale.

Q: Will I still get a commission if the person asks for and receives a refund?
A: Unfortunately, no. To eliminate the risk of purchase—and therefore to increase sales—the Plumtree Marketing Academy offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. There are no commissions on sales that are refunded, cancelled for any reason and/or determined to be fraudulent.

Q: How soon after a sale is made will I get paid?
A: Because the Plumtree Marketing Academy offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, and commissions are not paid for purchases that are ultimately refunded, affiliate payments are not made immediately. Instead, there is a 30 day “pending” period before the commission is confirmed.
Once a commission is confirmed you will be paid in the first five days of the month that follows. For example, if your referral makes a purchase in January, then that sale will be confirmed in February, and you will be paid between March 1 and March 5.

A: Payments are made through PayPal, to the PayPal address linked to your affiliate account. All payments are made in U.S. dollars.

A: There are no special requirements for becoming an affiliate. You do not have to have a company website, social media following, etc.
However, the Plumtree Marketing Academy reserves the right to deny any application from any applicant that we deem inappropriate, including those associated with websites or other online pages that feature sexually explicit material or that promote violence and/or illegal activities. The Plumtree Marketing Academy also reserves the right to cancel an affiliate account at any time, for any reason (including actual or suspected fraudulent activities), in our sole discretion. In this case, commissions for confirmed sales made prior to the account cancellation will still be paid as per our normal payment schedule.
